A Family of Faith
Welcome to the family of Coral Hill Baptist Church. We are a family of faith whose hope is centered on the Lord Jesus and whose trust is rooted in the certainty of God's Word. We are a family of friends that care about and for one another. We are a family of fellow pilgrims learning to grow in grace together along the journey of life. Like many families, we have experienced seasons of joy and sorrow, but through it all God has proven Himself to be faithful.
-Pastor Ray Woodie
Sunday Radio Broadcast
Saved by the grace of God at age seventeen, began pastoring at nineteen, married at twenty years of age, and all these many years later he is still saved by the grace of God. The journey of faith has been marked with many mountains and valleys but the single constant has been the faithfulness of the Savior to walk with him and often carry him through the most treacherous and difficult passages of life. He knows that there are other mountains to climb and valleys to traverse, but the One who has brought him safe thus far, will certainly be able to carry him all the way home. He welcomes you to join us at Coral Hill on the journey so that we can help one another and together bring glory to the Lord Jesus.
Jordan and his wife Larissa have 3 kids (Eleanor, Hudson and Claire). After serving on staff at Coral Hill as Student Pastor from 2001-2007, Jordan and his family moved to Brazil and served there with the International Mission Board until the summer of 2010. He then served as the Director of Missions for the Liberty Association of Baptists until 2015 before coming back on staff at CHBC as Associate Pastor. Jordan is an avid New England Patriots fan, former caver (he's too old now), and he and his wife are both graduates of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Born again at the age of nine at a small Baptist church in Summer Shade Kentucky, Randy has served the Lord through music and singing for over twenty years. Prior to joining staff at Coral Hill, he traveled as part of a Southern Gospel quartet while serving as worship leader in various fellowships and functions in and around Southern Kentucky. He has been serving as worship pastor at Coral Hill Baptist since March of 2007.
Youth Pastor/Director of Media
Investing into the lives of students was something that he was called to in January of 2007. His heart has always been for youth and their journey through this world. Andy's testimony of faith goes back to high school when he was fifteen where God saved him in his back yard, and has continued to guide him ever since. As he has grown he has met new people and continued to grow in his faith, learning more and more that Christianity is not just on a Sunday or a Wednesday, but that it is a complete surrender of one's life to Christ. In 2009, He married the love of his life, Chelsea and has two children; Matthew and Evelyn who both love a good game of hide and seek and pizza!
Vera Gaye Basil
Vera was saved in July 1973 at Union Missionary Baptist Church at Austin Tracy, where she attended with her parents, Ralph and Nancy Strode. She grew up in Glasgow, graduating in 1982 from Glasgow High School. After graduating and working for New Farmers National Bank, Glasgow Daily Times, and other businesses including a time as a stay at home mother, she went to Glasgow Christian Academy. There she served 8 years as Elementary Secretary and Admissions Counselor. Vera Gaye Basil joined the CHBC Pastoral Staff in 2005.
Children's Church Coordinator
Chris Lile was saved at the age of 13 at Summer Shade Baptist Church. Chris has joined staff at Coral Hill to serve the preschoolers and their families, something which she has already done through Children's Church ministry for several years. She is married to Benny Lile and they have two wonderful daughters, Cameron, a graduate student at Spalding University in the occupational therapy program and Casey a sophomore at Barren County High School. Chris has been a special education teacher for 26 years. She loves working with children and watching them learn about the love of God.
Kara Shive Ford
Kara became a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church in 2004. Saved at the age of ten, she was an active member of her youth group and later started working in the nursery while she was in high school and college. She married John Ray Ford in 2005, and became a mother to Jase in May 2013. With a passion for children she works as an Exceptional Education Teacher at Metcalfe County Elementary School and has worked with children’s ministries in various roles. She believes that every child is a gift from God and feels very blessed to be working with the youngest members of the CHBC family and their parents. She looks forward helping provide an atmosphere conducive to forming a foundation of faith in Christ for the children who are served by the nursery.
Terry & Kelli Barrett
Throughout life, Terry and Kelli have always loved children. When they joined Coral Hill Baptist, they knew God would use them to serve Him. They are extremely thankful God opened the door of opportunity and spoke to their hearts leading them into the children’s ministry as TeamKid directors. It is their desire to spend the days God gives them serving Him…their Creator, their Savior, and their Lord. Terry also participates in the men’s ministry and the first impression ministry. In addition, Kelli actively participates in the worship ministry, first impression ministry, and vacation Bible school. Terry and Kelli are married and reside in the Coral Hill area. They have four children: Luke, Emma, Lauren, and Cole. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” - II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
